The initial product was forked from Clickhouse, after which large re-architecture had been taken place. The product now not only improves the efficiency of Clickhouse but also fits into the elastic cloud-native infrastructure with better scalability and resource utilization. Responsibilities: - Responsible for the design and implementation of industry-leading distributed database systems using cloud-native architecture. - Conduct deep dive analysis and optimisation of underlying systems and engine components, to address issues related to availability and performance of large-scale production clusters. - Design and build high-performance systems from zero to one, integrating hardware and software design to build an ultimate system with understanding of the business and cloud-native architecture. - Stay updated with cutting-edge database technologies; identify opportunities for the implementation of new technologies including new hardware, intelligent optimizers, and lakehouse architectures. - Explore and implement integration of AI/LLM technologies with databases, including areas such as multimodal data analysis, AI-driven database operations and maintenance automation, and AI Agent-based intelligent assistants.
