We're looking for someone who is passionate about front-end, has a growth mindset, and isn't afraid to voice their opinion on how we can improve. You'll find creative solutions to thought-provoking problems, and because we value the kind of courageous thinking required for big bets and smart risks to pay off, you'll help drive new initiatives from technical design through implementation and release.</p> <h3><span style="font-size: 10pt;">What you’ll do:</span></h3> <ul> <li>Build the web platform that powers Pinterest.com for hundreds of millions of users, along with the frameworks and tooling that empower hundreds of engineers to build it.</li> <li>Improve foundational web architecture, <strong>DevEx</strong>, <strong>builds, CI/CD</strong>, and testing capabilities to help developers work more effectively.</li> <li>Identify site-wide challenges and propose, test, and ship solutions.</li> <li>Contribute to large-scale, cross-functional initiatives that improve the Web platform.</li> <li>Raise web stability, scalability, performance, and accessibility by implementing best-in-class web development standards.</li> <li>Accelerate the web development lifecycle with AI agents by assisting with large-scale migrations, automating repetitive engineering tasks, and building agent-powered workflows that let developers ship faster with higher confidence.</li> <li>Participate actively in technical design, code reviews, and architectural decisions.</li> </ul> <h3><span style="font-size: 10pt;">What we’re looking for:</span></h3> <ul> <li>Minimum 3 years of experience in Web development and a solid understanding of JavaScript, CSS, DOM, HTTP protocol and how the web works.</li> <li>Experience with technologies such as <strong>React</strong>, Redux (or other state management solutions), <strong>TypeScript</strong>, and testing frameworks like <strong>Jest or React Testing Library</strong>.</li> <li>Familiarity with build tools such as Webpack, Rspack, or Vite.</li> <li>Exposure to Node.js, server-side rendering techniques, or frameworks such as Next.js or Remix.</li> <li>Ability to deliver projects across team boundaries with guidance, and a growing interest in developer experience, performance, and quality.</li> <li>Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate across teams to make platform improvements, test functionality, and evangelize adoption of platform features.</li> <li>Hands-on experience with AI coding agents (eg. Claude Code, Cursor, Codex) and a point of view on how to harness them for large-scale migrations, code generation, and developer workflow automation.</li> <li>Love for Web and drive to keep up-to-date with new technologies, trends and best practices in client architecture.</li> <li>Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, or equivalent experience.</li> </ul> <p><span style="font-size: 10pt;">This job posting is for an open vacancy.
